Micah Bateman is a graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and a contributing editor of River Styx. Winner of the Poetry Society of America’s Lyric Poetry Award, he has published poems and essays in Boston Review, Iowa Review, Poet Lore, Verse, and elsewhere. He is an assistant professor at the University of Iowa.
